Our History

Western Colorado Regional Dispatch Center has been serving the communities of the Western Colorado region since 2015. Established with the vision of providing a reliable and efficient emergency communication system, we have evolved into a trusted hub for emergency response coordination. On September 21, 2015, the Western Colorado Regional Dispatch Center (WestCO) was fully established through an Intergovernmental Agreement, including bylaws. The Board of Directors held their first Annual Meeting on September 28, 2015 where Board Members were appointed and Officers of the Board were elected. 

Our Coverage Area

Our dispatch center proudly serves the Montrose, Ouray & San Miguel Counties in the Western Colorado region. We cover a vast geographic area, ensuring that residents and visitors in our community have access to prompt and reliable emergency services whenever the need arises.
